Usb2.0 serial driver windows 7 drivers#
I downloaded the drivers directly from the seller (WinChipHead wch.cn) from this page: (The name is already wrong because it is only a USB 1.1 device.) The USB vendor ID is 0x1A86 and the product ID is 0x7523. The device is named as "Usb2.0-Ser!" in the device descriptor. I cannot observe this problem on Windows 10.

But why can't I find anybody reporting the same problem in internet? I suppose that there a is severe bug in the driver. But if I connect them over a USB 2.0 hub I get severe problems: either one of the devices is not recognized or (even worse) they appear both correctly in Control Panel but when when I try to use the virtual Serial COM port in my application, the framework will throw an exception randomly when writing data to the COM port with SerialPort.Write().

If I connect them directly to the computer all works fine. I have two USB to RS232 adapters with the CH340 chip.
